Yep, 3 knobs:

Volume, tone and cut - what else do you need?

For these clips I used a Telecaster (pictured) with Lindy Fralin Blues special in the bridge and a custom wound BG neck pickup (www.norcalguitars.com).

The speaker mic'd was a Weber Alnico Blue 50wt

Dr. Z

Stangray

Visual Sound Rt 66 compressor used on the fast leads, BB Preamp used on the slow leads.

Never heard the original, this is just the Ray with the volume up around 4 1/2. Pickup used was a Lindy Fralin Blues Special. FX added in Cakewalk.

Same volume, same EQ, same guitar, same mic..... different speaker. 1st is the Weber Alnico Silver Bell, 2nd is the Weber Alnico Blue Dog - both 50wt speakers. I personally liked the Blue better. You can REALLY hear a difference, I'm glad I did this expieriment.

Same backing track as other amps - Speaker mic'd was the Weber Alnico Blue there was a Seymour Duncan pickup booster set on 9:00 pushing the front end, Ray was on 8 for volume

Ray volume was on 4, Jekyll & Hyde using Hyde side and a TS10 with gain at 9:00 for distortion. Speaker mic'd was the Weber Alnico Silver Bell. Wah is a Bud-wah.
